An Evening with Grammy Award winning

Joss Stone

On 2nd March, Grammy Award winning Joss Stone (UK) brings her Total World Tour to Siem Reap to close the ChubMet Music & Art Festival!

Joss has sold 12 million albums worldwide, establishing herself as one of the best-selling artists of her time. She has recorded and performed songs with many of the worlds most revered artists including Stevie Wonder, James Brown, Mick Jagger, Jeff Beck, Damian Marley, Annie Lennox, Gladys Knight, Smokey Robinson, Lauryn Hill, A R Rahman.

At 29, Stone has been a star for half her life. She released her debut album The Soul Sessions at age 16, becoming the youngest British female singer to top the UK Albums Chart. Her third album Introducing Joss Stone became her first top five album in the US, with her American success paving the way for a new generation of British female soul singers. And yet, in many ways, Stone is still an unknown quantity with maverick tendencies, steadfastly refusing to conform to the industries idea of a beautiful, blonde pop star.

If you go outside the box that people expect you to be in, it can make some people uncomfortable. But, hey ho. I don’t choose to be careful. I try not to let criticism or negativity even come into my mind.

In 2014 Joss officially began her Total World Tour mission to play a concert in every UN listed country in the world. As Stone herself puts it

My mission is to explore and understand the universal language of music in every country on the planet. The tour will be tiring and tough and I know at times very emotional but it will be a truly amazing journey of discovery and one hell of a ride.
